PrismML adapted its tiny language models for smart glasses that run on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and demonstrated a 1-bit Bonsai LLM at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit. The showcase was for the 1-bit Bonsai LLM running on the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 Platform. This moves PrismML toward its goal of open-weight, on-device AI, though no smart glasses product using it has been announced yet.
BottleCap AI released ThinkingCap-Qwen3.8-27B as a fine-tune of Qwen3.8-27B to shorten reasoning traces. It cuts thinking tokens by 37.2% on average across 12 benchmarks while macro-average accuracy drops from 86.65% to 85.79% (0.86pp). It’s deployable as a drop-in on vLLM or SGLang with various quantized builds, but weights are gated and commercial use needs a BottleCap agreement beyond the small-business license.
Solari Capital and AJ Scaramucci launched from stealth with an investment thesis called “Programmable Reality” covering AI, biology, matter, and finance. The firm says it has deployed roughly $350 million since its founding. As a result, Solari is publicly tying specific holdings—like xAI, Suno, Kira Learning, and several biotech and space bets—to that four-part software-over-real-world framework.
The article compares GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, and Claude Opus 5.5 on coding, reasoning, writing, agents, pricing, and everyday work. It says Opus 5.5 is the reason today’s benchmark got much harder. As a result, the round focuses on how model performance shifts under the updated, tougher benchmark conditions.
A study of query decomposition in RAG systems found that splitting a multi-intent question into sub-queries retrieves the right passages but still leaves most sub-intents excluded from the final 2,000-token packed context. In a production-default pipeline, 31.1% of sub-intents were starved even after their evidence was retrieved. The fix changes from improving retrieval to changing allocation/packing policy (with example results rising from 68.9% to 89.4% coverage when allocation is adjusted).
Basecamp Research raised a $140 million Series C to advance AI-designed in-body cell therapies. The round values the company at $800 million and was backed by Nvidia, Anthropic, and the NATO Innovation Fund. The funding will support training of new EDEN foundation-model versions and investment in therapies aimed at editing DNA inside patients, with Basecamp still preclinical and no clinical-trial date disclosed.
