Palo Alto Networks agreed to acquire Console, a startup using AI agents to automate parts of IT help desk workflows. The deal reportedly cost $500 million in cash and stock. Console will be integrated into Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex platform to let security teams investigate and resolve alerts using natural language.
Wonderful AI BV announced a $550 million Series C funding round for its enterprise AI agent automation platform. The round values the company at $5 billion. The additional capital is intended to accelerate product development and expand its international forward deployed engineering teams.
Stripe acquired Privy, Bridge, Ourum, Metronome, and OpenRouter after making an aborted attempt to buy PayPal. The OpenRouter deal closed this month for around $7.5 billion. As a result, Stripe is expanding into stablecoins, account verification/bank transfers, usage-based billing, and AI distribution while the PayPal acquisition falls through after Stripe’s offer was judged too low as PayPal shares rose.
Wonderful, the Netherlands-based AI startup selling AI services for business productivity, raised about $550 million at a $5 billion valuation in a Series C round led by Insight Partners with new participation from Salesforce. The round values the company at $5B, following another funding round six months earlier at about $150M and a $2B valuation. Wonderful says it will use the money to improve its product and hire hundreds of engineers as it expands its enterprise capabilities across more workflows and markets.

HiddenLayer raised a $100 million Series B to sell AI security tools for models, agents, and workflows as enterprises ramp up protection for AI deployments. The round was led by Delta-v Capital with participation from Microsoft’s M12, Morgan Stanley, and others. HiddenLayer says it will use the funding to expand sales and distribution and to extend its runtime protection and supply-chain security toward prompt injection, agent manipulation, and malicious tool use.
British Business Bank agreed to commit up to £46 million to Zinc Capital Management’s second institutional fund, the Science-for-Impact Fund. The funding is intended to grow Zinc’s portfolio toward 80 new UK deep tech companies, targeting a £70m fund size. The commitment expands early-stage finance and venture support for UK deep tech startups developing health and environmental technologies, including AI-related applications.
Uplift Ventures launched an inaugural €100 million venture capital fund for European deeptech startups at late Seed and Series A.
The fund plans to back up to 20 startups.
It will provide financing and support via a long-term global network while adding Christian Noske as a General Partner to the team.
Hiasynth raised an angel round led by Further Than Capital after building a 1:1 synthetic, queryable model of Europe’s population. The model contains 500 million personas across 37 countries with over 600 attributes each. It’s planned to launch in September 2026 at Bits & Pretzels and be available via MCP so AI assistants can query the data instead of relying on plausible-but-unchanged market guesses.
Conveo raised $50 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-powered consumer intelligence platform for enterprise use in the US. The round was led by DST Global Partners and brought Conveo’s total funding to $55.8 million. Conveo will use the money to scale its platform and extend it from standalone research projects toward a continuous, shared consumer knowledge base via StoryLines.
iPronics, a Valencia-based photonics startup, announced a $125 million Series B round led by Maverick Silicon and Light Street Capital with Nvidia participating.
The company says it will use the funding to shrink its optical circuit switch hardware by roughly a factor of 20, after shipping its ONE-32 32-port unit for about a year.
This should let iPronics pack more switches into a rack to scale the size of optical AI cluster interconnects while continuing commercialization and scaling operations.
Catch, an AI agent startup, secured $5 million in seed funding with Entrée Capital and Pitango as co-lead investors. $5 million was raised on September 2, 2026. The new funding enables Catch to expand its end-to-end executive administration assistance product.
Conveo raised a $50 million Series A to expand its AI video interview platform for consumer research.
The round totals $55.8 million in funding.
Its StoryLines product now enables ongoing research into brands’ core questions using an AI interviewer that adapts follow-ups, aimed at faster, continuously updated consumer insights.
Pharosyn raised a $3 million seed round led by Moonfire Ventures to develop AI systems for pharmaceutical commercial teams.
Its report-writing time dropped from four hours to 15 minutes, a 94% improvement.
The funding will support hiring to expand its team beyond its current 11 members as it grows its commercial and competitive intelligence product with AI hallucination mitigation.
LEAP kicked off in Saudi Arabia with announced technology investments and AI data-center plans tied to HUMAIN, including Together AI’s agreement and AWS and xAI expansion signals. The conference disclosed $15 billion in planned technology investments, and Together AI expects over $5 billion in gross annualized revenue in its first year. These deals expand AI cloud and data-center capacity across Saudi Arabia while reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s push to become a regional AI hub.
AfterQuery’s valuation reportedly rose from $300M to $3.2B after it raised a Series B, making it Y Combinator’s fastest-ever unicorn. The move happened in five months. The company shifts from training AI agent workflows to funding expert-captured reasoning that becomes datasets and reinforcement-learning environments for AI labs to train on.
Cognition is nearing a new funding round that would value the company at about $47 billion, after reporting annualised revenue above $900 million. The round is described as roughly $1 billion and investor demand has reportedly reached nearly $10 billion. If it closes, Cognition would raise fresh capital at a valuation nearly double the $26 billion level from its May round.
