QApilot launched QApilot MCP for Android to automate mobile app test flows by having a coding agent talk to Claude, Cursor, or Codex instead of writing Appium code. It runs tests on real Android devices and emulators, and each test pass saves a Gherkin feature file as a replayable test case. This shifts Android testing toward faster, more repeatable coverage with less manual effort by turning described steps into cached, re-executable automation.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas used Axon’s Draft One AI tool to help draft a police report after using Flock to search over 80,000 cameras for a woman who self-administered an abortion. A spokesperson said Draft One generates a preliminary narrative within about five minutes after uploading and transcribing body-camera audio. The case adds another example of AI being used in sensitive policing work, while the sheriff’s office still refuses to release body-cam footage or redacted evidence.
Amazon updated Alexa’s Shopping AI assistant to check whether an email, text message, or phone call claiming to be from Amazon is authentic. The assistant compares the message to a record of every message Amazon has sent and will only confirm when it is completely certain. This adds an on-demand verification step for customers, reducing their reliance on visual cues to spot impersonation scams.
