Tellia raises $5m in pre-seed funding round

Tellia, a US-based agri-tech startup, has raised $5m in pre-seed funding led by Revant. The round also included Grey Silo Ventures, Jeriko and Fund F.

The company has built an AI voice layer for farms. Instead of forcing field teams into a fixed form, it lets them capture information by phone call, voice note, text, WhatsApp or email, then turns that into structured records tied to the right field or operation. Farmers can also ask questions and get instant answers.

That approach is the whole pitch. Tellia says the real problem in agriculture is not a lack of data, but the way existing software traps people on screens and makes them do manual entry that does not fit field work. Its system is meant to bend around the way each farm already operates, rather than making workers adapt to the software.

The startup says it has had strong early pull since launching in 2024, with 80% daily active usage among field teams two months after onboarding. It has also supported operations at agricultural companies including Campos Brothers Farms, and its tools have been used by institutions and groups such as the Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin, Val de Gascogne and KWS Saat.

The new money, plus the company’s validation and R&D work, is meant to help Tellia push further into Europe and roll out its agentic AI suite. The founders, who met through Entrepreneur First, say the goal is to become the voice interface between agriculture and the tech stack around it. The team is based in Paris and San Francisco, and the company says that mix reflects both US traction and European expectations around data protection, security and confidentiality.
