The CEO of $1.2 billion learning platform Preply says it all started with his online search for an English tutor
Fortune 14
Preply CEO Kirill Bigai says the company began after he struggled to find a remote English tutor and built a platform to connect tutors and learners online. In 2012, he and cofounder Dmytro Voloshyn started Preply at age 26, later growing it into a $1.2 billion company. The firm expands internationally to cover 180 countries and 90+ languages and now uses its recent $150 million Series D to develop AI tools and grow engineering.
