Accenture Tells Employees They Can Now Spend Only $29 on Claude Per Month

404 Media Joseph Cox

Accenture told employees that only $29 per month per person will be centrally funded for Claude usage, and higher spend must be funded via internal projects. The cap starts October 1 and applies even though some employees were previously spending up to $1,000 monthly. Employees now need to find a Work Breakdown Structure to cover overage or seek premium token upgrades, and some access has been reported revoked.

Why it matters

Some employees who spend as much as $1,000 on Claude usage each month are scrambling to find ways to maintain access to the tool.
