OpenAI Five is an AI system made up of five neural-network agents trained to play Dota 2 as a coordinated team in real time. Recent coverage includes benchmark and live-match results in which it defeated elite and amateur teams and ultimately beat Dota 2 world champions OG in consecutive matches at The Finals. OpenAI also held a final live event for OpenAI Five on April 13, marking the end of the project’s public showcase.
