VocaScript

Product Hunt Diae Louali

VocaScript turns long recordings into transcripts without splitting them up. It also labels speakers, tracks timestamps, and fixes errors against the audio.

VocaScript is launching with a simple pitch: stop chopping long recordings into pieces just to get them transcribed. The tool says it can handle hours-long audio in one go, which is the part that usually makes transcription apps start sweating.

The output comes with timestamps and speaker labels, and it supports more than 100 languages. VocaScript also says it can cope when people switch languages mid-recording, which is the kind of mess real conversations tend to make.

There’s some extra cleanup built in too. Each transcript is checked against the audio to catch and fix issues automatically, and a quality report shows what still needs attention. If one section is bad, you can retranscribe just that passage instead of starting over.

You can upload a file, paste a link, or use a browser extension to transcribe as you browse. The extension also adds captions on the page so you can read along. And if you just want to test it, no signup is required.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

This is the right kind of boring product idea: fewer hoops, less cleanup, more actual transcription. The real test is always the same one—does it save people from babysitting the output, or just give them a fancier place to do the babysitting?
