LitPivot: Developing research ideas through dynamic contextualization within the literature landscape

LitPivot, a system for literature-driven research-idea revision, helps researchers reorganize and critique relevant papers as they edit different parts of a proposal. In a study with 17 researchers, domain experts rated ideas produced with LitPivot higher than ideas made with a text editor and an AI question tool. The workflow shifts idea development by tying each facet (problem, contribution, evaluation) to cited evidence and automatically reranking literature as revisions change what should be checked next.
