Methodology
Scope. All companies TLDRocket covers.
Computation. Updated weekly (Monday morning) over the trailing 30 days of TLDRocket's own coverage — no external data, no generated scores. Companies need at least 3 visible stories in the window to be ranked (minimum data threshold); the top 40 are kept. Each factor below is normalized 0–1 against the highest value in that week's candidate set, multiplied by its weight, and summed into the score. Ties break on raw coverage, then company name.
Not investment advice. A ranking measures how much a company is being written about, nothing else. It says nothing about the quality of a business, its shares or its prospects, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
| Factor | Weight | What it counts |
|---|---|---|
| Coverage | 0.15 | Visible stories linked to the company in the window. |
| Source diversity | 0.25 | Distinct publications behind that coverage — the anti-gaming counterweight to raw volume. |
| Event involvement | 0.15 | Named events in the window whose coverage involves the company. |
| Funding activity | 0.15 | Funding rounds raised by the company in the window. |
| Deployment evidence | 0.15 | Real-world deployments tracked with the company as vendor in the window — independent validation beyond announcements. |
| Relationship growth | 0.15 | New source-backed relationships involving the company in the window. |
Anti-gaming. Source diversity is weighted above raw coverage, so press-release volume from a single outlet cannot dominate the ranking on its own. Deployment evidence, funding rounds and new relationships add independent validation beyond announcement counts.
