The listed AI economy
First close pending
Global price, dividend, currency and corporate-action data must be connected and the company universe reviewed before performance is published. The companies below are research candidates, not index constituents.
Stock returns reflect many influences. This index measures the performance of AI-related equities; it does not isolate how much of each share-price change was caused by AI.

The research universe
29 existing direct-AI candidates
Our current stock directory covers US-listed securities, including some international companies. Global listings and evidence of direct AI involvement are still being reviewed. Existing “direct” tags alone do not qualify a company for this index.
Research candidates awaiting index eligibility review
The initial market-screening scope is below. A market appears as covered only after its listings and commercial data availability have been checked. Further major venues will be added as the global feed is agreed.

Proposed index methodology
01 · Direct AI involvement
Companies must develop or sell AI products, compute, model platforms, AI software or physical AI systems, or operate dedicated AI infrastructure. Using AI internally, or mentioning AI in marketing, is insufficient. Inclusion requires dated company evidence and a recorded editorial review. AI revenue is reported only when disclosed.
02 · A tradable global universe
Primary ordinary-share listings, one issuer once. At selection: at least $500 million free-float market capitalisation, $1 million average daily turnover over 20 trading sessions, and 90 trading sessions of history. No ETFs, private companies, duplicate ADRs or speculative pre-listing valuations. These filters mean some AI companies will not qualify.
03 · Weight without dominance
Free-float market-cap weights, capped at 5% per issuer at each review. Excess weight is redistributed among the remaining companies. The minimum basket is 20 issuers, with eligible listings across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Weights drift between reviews; sector concentration is shown explicitly.
04 · Comparable daily returns
Base value 1,000 at inception. USD gross total returns include dividends before withholding tax, corporate actions and currency changes. Compare with the S&P 500 on the same currency, return basis and dates. An ETF proxy must never be labelled as the S&P 500 itself.
05 · A consistent closing cut-off
One valuation per calendar day, prepared after all previous-day closes at 02:30 UTC. Closed markets carry their last local close with a common 22:00 UTC FX valuation rate (last available on FX holidays). Open-market missing data stops publication; it never silently changes constituent weights. The last valid date stays visible.
06 · An auditable history
Quarterly selection at calendar quarter-end, effective after the old basket is valued. Additions and removals retain dated evidence. Corporate actions and delistings require reviewed provider treatment. Historical backtests must use membership known at the time and be labelled separately; we do not reconstruct a flattering past from today’s winners.
This is a thematic research benchmark, not a fund or a broad-market substitute. Sponsorship never affects eligibility, weights or performance. Until launch, the methodology remains open to review.
