Sonia Stovell is a founder of Octopus Deploy. She and Paul Stovell founded the company in 2012, when Octopus Deploy Pty. Ltd. was incorporated in Brisbane, Australia, to turn the project into a business they could work on themselves. The company’s origins trace back to Paul Stovell’s earlier work on deployment problems he saw as a contractor, which led to Octopus being created to address time-consuming software deployment practices through automation. Sonia Stovell is known for co-founding Octopus Deploy as the business was formally established.
