Paul Buchheit is an American computer engineer and entrepreneur best known for creating Gmail. During his work on Gmail at Google, he developed the original prototype of Google AdSense. He also suggested Google's former company motto "Don't be evil" in a 2000 meeting on company values, building on a phrase initially coined by engineer Amit Patel in 1999.
