Andy Jassy is an American business executive who serves as President and CEO of Amazon, a role he has held since July 2021 after succeeding founder Jeff Bezos. He joined Amazon in 1997 and later founded Amazon Web Services (AWS), building it into the company's cloud computing division, and served as AWS CEO from 2016 until his promotion to lead all of Amazon. Under his leadership, Amazon has continued to expand its cloud, logistics, and AI infrastructure businesses, including efforts to develop in-house AI chips such as Trainium to compete with established GPU providers.
