AlphaFold
AlphaFold is an AI system for predicting protein structures that has been used by over 3 million researchers across more than 190 countries since its 2021 public release, generating predictions for more than 200 million protein structures. Recent applications include researchers using it to redesign gene-editing proteins for improved safety, predict heat-resistant enzyme modifications for crops, map previously unknown protein structures involved in heart disease, and identify hidden drug binding pockets in collaboration with Isomorphic Labs.
