An AI called BootLoops was used to identify and solve problems by transferring patterns across scientific disciplines instead of staying within a single field. It was reported to cover 22 scientific fields and match shared mathematical structures across 36 preprints. As a result, more issues can be found and addressed across disciplines using a “spot-and-solves” approach rather than isolated, field-specific methods.
