Product Hunt has a new entrant this week called Prompt Bridge, and the pitch is refreshingly narrow: keep your AI context portable. Anyone who bounces between ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and whatever new model dropped this month knows the pain. You build up a useful thread of context in one tool, then have to start from zero somewhere else, manually re-explaining who you are, what project you're working on, and what tone you want.

The listing is light on technical detail, which is typical for a fresh Product Hunt launch, but the core idea is clear enough. Instead of context living locked inside a single chat window, Prompt Bridge treats it as something you own and can move. Think of it less as a chatbot and more as a suitcase for your prompts and preferences, one you can carry across whichever AI service you happen to be using that day.

This kind of tool fits a pattern that's been building for a while. As people start juggling three or four different AI assistants for different tasks, the friction isn't really about model quality anymore. It's about the tedium of re-establishing context every single time. Enterprise tools have tried to solve this with memory features baked into specific platforms, but those solutions tend to trap you inside one vendor's walls.

What's not clear yet, at least from the Product Hunt page alone, is how Prompt Bridge actually handles the technical mess underneath: different context window sizes, different formatting expectations, different privacy policies from provider to provider. A universal context layer sounds great in a tagline. Building one that works reliably across a dozen APIs with different quirks is a much harder problem, and that's usually where these tools either prove themselves or quietly fade into the Product Hunt archive.
