Meta Platforms and Sierra Technologies, along with Walmart and Stripe, are developing the Personal Agent Protocol to standardize how autonomous AI agents transact with businesses online. The protocol was introduced by Sierra co-founder Bret Taylor on the day after six major banks called for comprehensive standards and protections in a paper.
