Personal AI agents have faced blocks from some retail and other websites, limiting their ability to browse and complete tasks such as purchases and bookings. In response, Meta and partners including Sierra Technologies, Walmart, and Stripe are developing the Personal Agent Protocol to standardize how autonomous agents authenticate and conduct commerce with businesses, with the goal of improving visibility and reducing privacy, safety, and fraud concerns.
