SoftBank led a $200 million Series A investment in Swiss construction robotics startup Gravis Robotics, with the company valuing it at roughly $1 billion post-money. Gravis said the funds will support hiring, international expansion, and scaling deployments of its retrofittable autonomy kits for excavators.

Nvidia’s $12.93 billion acquisition of Hugging Face is the day’s loudest signal that “open models” are becoming infrastructure.
