Google announced Gemini 4 Argon, a new frontier AI model, and is rolling it out first to a trusted set of cyber defenders through its Fairwind Program while seeking phased pre-release access via a U.S. government process. It will launch with $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens (and cached input at 95% off), with the output token limit increased to 1M tokens from 64K. Access will expand gradually beyond the cyber cohort—after safety and guardrails iterations—starting with paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers.
Osavul, a startup that uses an AI platform to detect hostile activity before attacks materialize, raised €8.5m in a Series A funding round to expand its enterprise and government/defence work. The round was led by 33N Ventures and included participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures, and existing investor 42CAP. Its funding brings its total raised to around €12 million and supports growth of its clients and expanded government and defence deployments.
