Meta plans to issue a newly created class of non-voting stock to help fund its AI buildout. The CFO, Susan Li, said the company would create it via a stock dividend distributed to existing shareholders. This lets Meta raise capital, pay employees, and fund acquisitions without changing the voting power of its existing Class A and B shareholders.
Anthropic announced Claude Duet, an AI agent aimed at professionals and small business owners, as a competitor to Muse and OpenAI’s Dots. It is launching as a research preview and is built on Claude Opus 5.5. It will run via a standalone iOS and Android app and through Claude on the web, including sending daily briefs and alerting users during the day when action is needed.
Bits is a personal agent that runs on a user’s own machine, with scheduled routines and task work that continues after the app is closed while steps are saved for crash recovery. It has 45 followers. It introduces a local, transparent-memory workflow using Markdown files and a review step (“Sentinel”) for risky actions, and it can operate with any model including local ones.
Legora closed a $550 million Series E round, raising its valuation from $5.6 billion to $8.8 billion. It says its annual recurring revenue increased from $1 million to more than $200 million in less than 18 months. The new funding is set to expand North America and other regions and add Legora aOS features for request handling, regulatory-change detection, and legal research.
Claude Mods lets users customize Claude Code by installing JavaScript or TypeScript “mods” that run inside Claude Code to change how the agent interacts with the human operator during prompting, tool calls, and rendering. One built-in mod called You Should Know was turned on to catch 45 files with uncommitted edits after an apparently finished UI-editing task. As a result, the agent harness can be “reversed” into a programmable Attention Interface where the human and agent jointly shape what gets shown and what decisions require human input, alongside tradeoffs like noise, higher token cost, and permissions/trust concerns.
