OpenFlowKit 2 launched as a free, open-source diagram canvas that lets people and AI agents edit diagrams in the browser. It was launched on “today.” The tool adds AI-provider and local-model editing via MCP plus a CLI that checks diagram drift in CI so diagrams stay aligned with code.

Platform teams that predominantly build features from scratch are more likely to report lacking a clear platform strategy. Teams building from scratch were 3.5x more likely to cite “lack of clear strategy” as an obstacle (57.9% vs 15.6% for template-based teams and 16.7% for tool-based teams). Even with AI agents making custom builds faster, teams still need to handle ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and governance, so build-vs-buy becomes more sharply strategic.

Anthropic presented dynamic workflows, a new multi-agent orchestration feature for Claude Managed Agents, showing how Claude can generate an orchestration program and coordinate sub-agents across phases of work. The feature was announced on Friday. Claude Console can now orchestrate longer, more complex multi-agent topologies without developers configuring coordinators and rosters for interconnections, though users can still supply specialist sub-agents and set session budgets.

Anthropic engineer Gurmeet Saran is building infrastructure to monitor and explain how Claude-like AI agents behave so their outputs are accurate and trustworthy without exposing private data. The article says he joined Anthropic in 2025 and aims to solve an observability problem for large language models. As a result, researchers get more tools to understand model mechanics and Anthropic can improve reliability and safety claims for AI agents.

Phasis developed a platform to orient enterprise AI agents using its “World API” and maintained “Worlds” as evidence-backed reality layers. It built an endpoint called “/orient” that returns relevant world frames for an agent to start with, including current state, changes, evidence, and uncertainties. This adds an orientation step before agents search, plan, or strategize so they act with continuously updated domain understanding.

Andrej Karpathy said most people still do not understand what AI systems can do, and the gap is widening as only a tiny group has access to frontier capabilities. He estimated about 5,000 people have access to frontier systems inside the labs. As a result, enterprise software companies like Box are betting on agent swarms and workflow automation to bring more advanced AI into day-to-day business use.

AdHelm CLI was launched as a free command-line tool that lets an AI agent connect to your own ad and analytics accounts to report performance, audit them, and recommend changes. It is released under the Apache-2.0 license. The result is that these ad/analytics workflows can run locally on your machine instead of requiring a hosted setup.

Ultracite launched v8 as a zero-config preset for Oxlint, Biome, and ESLint that adds linting/formatting for agentic development. It checks every edit against hundreds of strict rules in under half a second. This changes agent-written code review by making it consistently type-safe and aligned with those rules.

BAND for Developers launched to coordinate and govern collaboration between distributed AI agents and human teams in a shared chat workspace. It launched today. As a result, teams get an interaction layer with built-in governance to manage how agents communicate and coordinate without using an orchestration tool as the main driver.

Meta launched two new AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, as part of its revamped Superintelligence Labs work. Starting today, they’re available to Muse Code subscribers, with Wonder also accessible via the Meta Model API. Meta says it will use Wonder to power its Muse AI agent first for subscribers and later build specialized models for broader access.

Cockroach Labs’ MOLT Sinai “coding hospital” pipeline added Db2 support to its MOLT migration tooling without human-written code during execution. The Db2 migration support work finished in less than two days and the Claude token bill was $4,172 (164x faster and 38x cheaper than the prior Oracle effort). After this pilot, the team enabled human approval mode for merges and used the same system to build the Migration Assistant, which is in preview for Postgres migrations and largely authored by the pipeline.

The article outlines how to debug production issues by guiding coding agents using runtime evidence from three investigations. It focuses on three problem types: latency regression, memory leak, and kernel-level hang. The workflow changes to separating facts from hypotheses, using a control for comparison, and validating the suspected cause against all known constraints.

Deno’s entire team is joining Cloudflare to continue Deno’s work and shift future development toward Cloudflare’s Workers-based platform. After one year of monthly bug-fix and security releases, Deno will stop development of the Deno runtime. Deno Deploy will run for six more months then shut down, with paid customers migrated to Workers, and Cloudflare will focus on celld built on Durable Objects for agent-style workloads.

Software engineers are being told that using AI for work is now mandatory and that managers must help their teams experiment or risk losing them to AI-fluent competitors. The advice cites building a basic coding agent as “300 lines of code” running in a loop with LLM tokens. As a result, teams are encouraged to carve out time for AI skill-building, rank staff by AI fluency, and adjust hiring and performance expectations around demonstrable agent-building experience.

Vesta raised $30 million led by Conversion Capital as lenders adopt its AI agents for mortgage loan origination automation. The round was announced on Thursday. The company will use the funding to staff up, expand product lines like an AI personal assistant, and broaden agents that speed mortgage processing while keeping underwriting responsibility and audit trails with lenders.

shim-cli is an open-source hook and local proxy for Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, and VS Code that masks secrets and personal data before an AI reads tool results. It runs with no account and no telemetry. It lets you view what a session sent via shim watch and track the associated cost.

BotMan AI built an AI-powered migration pipeline that uses knowledge graphs to capture legacy application dependencies, business rules, and data models before rewriting systems into a new architecture. The approach involves ingesting the whole application at once to migrate it fully autonomously. It also enables AI agents to reuse business context by linking unstructured documents to entities like people, projects, and products.

AI security stopped being a slow-burn problem today. Chinese state-aligned hackers used stolen ConnectWise cloud backup credentials to reach Microsoft-hosted environments across thousands of companies, with Microsoft saying the attackers hit about 2,250 organizations and hit almost 3,000 attempted sign-ins per minute at peak. ConnectWise paused access to its cloud backup service while responders tried to restore what backups had already helped the attackers view—emails, files, and whatever else was reachable once credentials were in the right place. The timing matters: defenders are now contending with faster, more agent-enabled intrusions, a theme that echoed across the broader churn of AI-assisted vulnerability discovery.
