Stanley Freeman Druckenmiller is an American investor and philanthropist who is also a former hedge fund manager. He founded Duquesne Capital in 1981 and served as its chairman and president until he closed the fund in August 2010, when it had over $12 billion in assets. From 1988 to 2000, he managed money for George Soros as the lead portfolio manager for Quantum Fund. He is known for leading Duquesne Capital and for his role managing money for Soros’s Quantum Fund.
