Google announced a unified “Gemini agent” at its Gemini at Work event, designed to carry out work tasks across multiple applications and devices in the background. The agent is planned for availability in the Gemini Enterprise app, with integrations across Google Workspace as well as platforms such as Slack and Microsoft 365, including persistent execution with shared context and controls such as spend caps.
