NVIDIA released Switchyard, a Rust proxy and library that decodes inbound LLM requests, routes them to a selected upstream backend, and translates requests and streaming responses between OpenAI and Anthropic formats. The server exposes routing-overhead timing via switchyard_routing_overhead_ms in Prometheus buckets starting at 0.1 ms. Switchyard is provided as pre-alpha/experimental and explicitly not for production, changing deployments by enabling provider-neutral agent APIs while delaying production adoption until v1.0.
QApilot launched QApilot MCP for Android to automate mobile app test flows by having a coding agent talk to Claude, Cursor, or Codex instead of writing Appium code. It runs tests on real Android devices and emulators, and each test pass saves a Gherkin feature file as a replayable test case. This shifts Android testing toward faster, more repeatable coverage with less manual effort by turning described steps into cached, re-executable automation.
Walmart Global Tech engineer Saurabh Kumar redesigned a high-volume scoring system to remove a monolithic bottleneck. The update cut P99 latency by over 50%. It decoupled scoring into its own microservice and used Java fine-grained parallelism to score multiple items at once, plus it later enabled faster ML deployments and a rebuilt A/B testing platform.
Vercel built design.md by running more than 200 agent runs and using a feedback loop that treats agent instructions like software to reduce recurring page-generation failures. In Vercel’s three-scenario test, deterministic checks found 39 known failure-mode instances with design.md versus 91 without it, a 57% reduction on a six-page sample. The released prompt file plus evaluation and update process lowered the frequency of named failures, while still requiring corrections because every tested page still had a blocking issue.
IBM and Confluent are adding IBM Granite time series foundation models to Confluent Cloud so they can run stream-native via Flink SQL where business data already moves. The models are in Early Access on Confluent Cloud, with “44M+ downloads” behind them. Teams can replace bespoke per-series model builds with function calls that run forecasting and anomaly detection on live streams and write inference results back to Kafka.
Tesla is starting public rides of its Cybercab robotaxi in Austin, Texas, putting Musk’s autonomy plan into operation. The service is launching nearly two years after the Cybercab was unveiled. This shifts Tesla from showing prototypes to testing camera-only driving in real-world passenger service as part of its robotaxi offering.
