Mistral announced an AI stack for industrial engineering with partnerships from Airbus, BMW, and ASML, alongside upgrades to its agentic tool Vibe and a new data center facility. The company will operate a 10 MW data center in Les Ulis, France, opening in Q3 2026, designed to give enterprises direct control over compute capacity and data security. These moves position Mistral to support manufacturers in aerospace, automotive, and semiconductors with AI-driven design and simulation while keeping proprietary data under customer control.

Mistral released Search Toolkit in public preview, a composable framework that unifies ingestion, retrieval, and evaluation into a single interface for building search systems in AI applications. The framework includes built-in metrics for measuring retriever performance (recall, precision, MRR, NDCG) and has been tested across financial services, manufacturing, public sector, and media & entertainment organizations, with CMA CGM processing audio from three data sources and returning alerts within 15 seconds end-to-end. Teams can now add new data sources and swap retrieval strategies without rebuilding pipelines, reducing the weeks of integration work typically required before running queries against proprietary data.
