TLDRocket 2 October 2026

The biggest thread today is the messy middle of AI agents: getting code to run somewhere sensible, with permissions that make sense, and controls that hold up when things go sideways. IBM and CoreWeave teamed up to extend IBM Research’s Granite workflows beyond model training into isolated code execution—building a large H100 cluster for Granite and adding CoreWeave Sandboxes with identity integration. The practical promise is simple: researchers can choose where agent code runs and what resources it can touch, turning “agentic” from a demo into something closer to auditable software testing.
