Verity Score is aiming at a very specific pain: what AI assistants tell shoppers about your store. The Product Hunt launch says it tracks answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, AI Overviews and Grok, and keeps each response verbatim along with its sources.

That matters because the product is not just a dashboard. When Verity finds a missing fact on a page, it drafts a correction in your own words. You review it, push it into Shopify, and can roll it back whenever you want. That makes the tool feel less like monitoring and more like an editor that lives inside the store owner’s workflow.

It also tries to close the loop on content. Verity says it writes the blog posts buyers ask for, and rewrites posts that AI cannot use. Then it tracks the visits and orders that AI actually sends back. That is the part merchants will care about most, because traffic from AI is easy to talk about and much harder to prove.

The launch itself is light on numbers and heavy on the promise: make the store legible to AI, then measure whether that legibility turns into business. For Shopify sellers, that is a cleaner pitch than vague “AI optimization” fluff. It is about seeing what the bots say, changing the facts when they are wrong, and checking whether anyone showed up because of it.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

This is where AI commerce gets real: not grand strategy, just fixing the page when the bot gets the name wrong. The bigger pattern is obvious — companies now have to optimize for machines that summarize them badly, which is a charming new tax on the internet. Most of the hype is still theater; this is the boring part that actually matters.
