snyvi is a free, open-source desktop app for people running several passion projects at once with coding agents. It’s built around a simple idea: don’t make every project fight for the same messy workspace. Give each one its own desk and let the work stay there.
Inside each project, snyvi keeps the folder, up to four agents side by side, and a set of notes. The agents can be Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or any shell. Plans and reviews written by an agent don’t disappear into some chat log; they land on that project’s desk as a clean, versioned page.
The app also opens straight to where each project was last left off, which is the sort of small feature that sounds boring until you’ve spent an evening digging through folders and half-finished prompts. It’s local only, with no account, and the license is MIT.
There’s one very specific request attached to the launch: a Mac tester. The Mac build is already signed and notarized, but the team says it doesn’t own a Mac, so it needs someone to try it and report back. That’s a very startup way to ship something polished and still be one borrowed machine away from the finish line.
My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting
This is the right instinct: fewer tabs, fewer surprises, less agent soup. The real product here isn’t the AI, it’s the filing cabinet around the AI, which is probably why it sounds more useful than half the things stuffed with model names. Open-source and local-first is a sane default; the cloud can keep its sticky fingers off the desk.
