Portal is trying to make product demos feel less like a setup chore and more like sending a link. The company says it gives you a cloud computer that can be configured to show a signed-in account, then handed off to someone else by link. They open it and they’re in. No signup. No install.

That’s the core pitch, and it’s a neat one because it cuts out the usual friction that kills demos before they start. Portal also lets the owner decide what’s off limits, which matters if the demo account has anything sensitive tucked inside it. And it isn’t only for live walk-throughs. The product can be set up for multi-player use or for async sharing, so the same session can work as a live room or something more like a reusable demo artifact.

The stranger bit is the optional AI layer. Portal says it can add an AI that sees the screen and runs full customer conversations. That pushes the product beyond screen-sharing and into guided interaction, almost like giving the demo a script, a guide, and a salesperson all at once.

This is also Portal’s second launch on Product Hunt, which suggests the team is still working the market and the message. The company frames the whole thing simply: try any product at any moment with no setup, then share it like a Google Doc. That’s a very modern promise, and also a very Product Hunt one.
