Moonshot AI launched Kim K3.1 Pro, a post-trained upgrade of its July model Kimi K3 that it says performs some tasks better than Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra. Kim K3.1 Pro scores 92.7% on the BenchCAD 3D model coding benchmark and will have its weights open-sourced by Nov. 4. Moonshot AI is using the update to extend capabilities in 3D modeling and animation while planning a future open-weight release.
