Cloudflare announced Monetization Gateway tools that let businesses charge AI agents using USDC stablecoin instead of human card entry or monthly subscriptions. The tool is in closed beta for eligible U.S.-based buyers and sellers. If the payments clear automatically through Cloudflare’s intermediary flow, access to online services is granted without people signing up for a recurring plan or sharing card details.
Why it matters
Using USDC, the feature works as a pay-as-you-go system for AI agents browsing the web.
