Cloudflare announced a closed beta of its Monetization Gateway that lets businesses charge for access to AI agent–related services using USDC stablecoin rather than card-based or subscription billing. The system uses Cloudflare’s intermediary payment flow (described as x402 on Base) and, once payments clear, grants access without recurring sign-ups or card detail sharing.
