Jonathan Blow is an American video game designer and programmer. He is associated with Thekla, the studio behind The Order of the Sinking Star, a puzzle game he spent about 10 years building. Blow became interested in game programming in middle school, studied computer science and English at the University of California, Berkeley, left to start a game company, and later worked as a game development contractor after that company closed following the dot-com crash. He is best known for his work on the independent video games Braid (2008) and The Witness (2016).
