Jie Tang is a full-time professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University. He earned a PhD in computer science from Tsinghua University in 2006 and went on to join its faculty. His research interests include social networks and data mining. He is known for building the academic social network search system AMiner, which launched in March 2006.
