Sora is OpenAI’s text-to-video (and related video/audio) generation model, released for public use at sora.com, with capabilities including generating videos up to 1080p and 20 seconds and editing existing assets via extension and remixing. In recent coverage, OpenAI also described how it scaled access to Sora and outlined design principles for a Sora content feed with personalized recommendations and safety features. The company further released Sora 2, which it said improves physics accuracy, visual quality, audio synchronization, and control over style, and it reached agreements to enable authorized use of major entertainment characters in Sora.
