Tech companies and their AI-enabled devices are expanding the criteria for what counts as a “recording,” creating more gray area about when microphones/cameras are capturing and preserving user data. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported last week that Apple is working on a smart home device that could shift those boundaries.
