Superagent

Superagent is pitching a very specific promise: let a coding agent feel like a proper app instead of a command-line circus act. It launched today on Product Hunt with a setup that puts chats in a sidebar, keeps them grouped, and lets them survive restarts without stealing focus.

The bigger move is that the agent gets a computer of its own. It can use a real browser inside your logged-in sessions, tap around an iOS Simulator, reach into your files, and keep a board for itself. It can also run routines on a timer, which makes it sound less like a chatbox and more like a small, obedient employee with access issues.

Each chat runs in its own git worktree, which should make parallel tasks less messy. Superagent also says you can pair your iPhone and carry the work with you, with encryption end to end. And there’s no account, no server, and no second bill, which is a tidy way to signal that the company wants trust to be part of the product, not a marketing footer.

It’s open source too. That matters because this kind of agent is exactly where people start asking what, precisely, is being watched, stored, or outsourced. Superagent’s answer seems to be: as little as possible, on your machine, with your own sessions.
