Autentic AI has pulled in €1.5 million in pre-seed money from Baobab Ventures, Lanai Ventures, Acurio Ventures and Masia VC, a neat little vote for a very specific bet: that market research is too slow, too pricey and too infrequent.

The company, founded by Dani Diestre, Aniol Carreras and Jacob Bamio, uses AI to interview hundreds of consumers and experts at once. Humans still stay in the loop. The machine runs the conversations and cranks through the data; researchers then make sense of what it all means and add context.

That hybrid setup is the pitch. Autentic AI says traditional research can cost €100,000 and take three months, which makes it hard for companies to ask questions as often as they’d like. Its goal is to move research from a once-in-a-while exercise to something businesses can do every week, so decisions are based on fresh customer input rather than stale reports.

The company says it already runs around 1,000 interviews a day and expects to pass 400,000 by the end of 2026. Its platform is aimed at FMCG, retail, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, plus strategy consulting and private equity. Every finding is tied back to video from the interviews, and the results can be sliced by age, region or product usage. To back that up, Autentic AI works with verified participants who are paid for their time.

The new capital will go into more automation and into building its own network of verified consumers and industry experts. That should give Autentic AI more control over quality and less need to lean on third-party panels. In market research, control is the whole game.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

This is the right kind of AI startup: not a chatbot dressed up as destiny, but a tool that attacks an ugly, expensive workflow. The ugly truth is that a lot of companies still make decisions with too little customer evidence, then act surprised when the market ignores them. AI belongs here if it makes the process faster without turning research into guesswork with better branding.
