Reve Adds Multiple Video Generation Models to Animation Platform

Reve, the AI image platform that's been quietly building a following among designers and hobbyists, just widened its lane into video. The company added three new models to its toolkit: Kling 3, Seedance 2, and a faster Seedance 2 variant, all aimed at one job — taking a static image and giving it motion.

This isn't Reve building its own video model from scratch. It's stitching together other labs' tech into a single workflow, which is becoming the playbook for smaller AI platforms that can't afford the compute bill of training a video model from zero. Kling, from Kuaishou, and Seedance, from ByteDance, are both serious contenders in the image-to-video space, so bundling them together gives Reve users access to frontier-ish video generation without ever touching a third-party site.

The practical pitch is speed and convenience. Someone who's already generated or uploaded an image in Reve can now animate it on the spot, and the inclusion of a "Fast" version of Seedance 2 suggests Reve is thinking about the iteration loop — creators who want to test five variations before committing to a final render don't want to wait minutes each time.

What's notable here is the direction of travel for the whole category. Image tools are turning into motion tools, and the boundary between "I made a picture" and "I made a video" is basically dissolving. Reve is betting that creators would rather stay in one interface and pick a model from a dropdown than hop between five different video apps chasing whichever one has the best output this month.
