Opposable

Product Hunt Erik M ● Covered by 2 sources

Opposable lets AI agents use a real iPhone or Android like a person would. That means they can tap and type in your signed-in apps, while payments still wait for you.

Opposable is a browser-automation tool with a twist: it doesn’t fake a phone, it reaches into an actual one. The product lets Claude Code, Codex, or any MCP agent see the screen, tap buttons, and type on a real iPhone or Android device that’s already signed into your apps.

That matters because a lot of mobile work dies the moment an app wants a human touch. Opposable says common tasks can run on the phone without a model in the loop, while payments are held back until you tap them yourself. So the agent can do the grunt work, but the final click still belongs to you.

The iPhone setup is a little different too. Opposable says it works through Bluetooth or a tiny USB stick, which is a very physical answer to a very software-shaped problem. And yes, it’s launching today on Product Hunt, under the Developer Tools and Artificial Intelligence tags.

There’s something refreshingly blunt about this approach. Instead of pretending mobile automation is magic, it admits the phone is the system of record and the human is still in charge when money moves. That’s the right instinct, and also a reminder that the slickest AI demos often end at the payment screen.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

This is the sensible kind of agent product: boring where it should be boring, guarded where it should be guarded. The industry keeps trying to sell autonomy as if trust were a button; Opposable at least leaves the payment tap with a human, which is the first decent idea in a while.
