Jupitrr Cut

Product Hunt Jerome Tse

Jupitrr Cut is a new open-source app for recording talking-head videos with a teleprompter. It trims silences and skips the timeline grind; captions and B-roll stay optional.

Jupitrr AI has launched Jupitrr Cut, a mobile app aimed at people who record talking-head videos and want the finished result without living in an editor. The pitch is blunt: read from a built-in teleprompter, retake any line, and let the app automatically remove silences on export.

The app is open source and GPL-3.0 licensed. Jupitrr says the APK is on GitHub, with one-tap updates through the App Store and Google Play. There’s also no account wall, which keeps the whole thing feeling less like a funnel and more like a tool.

Jupitrr Cut is meant to stand on its own for recording, but it also plugs into the company’s wider video marketing setup. If someone wants to go further, Jupitrr AI can later add captions and B-roll, but that part is optional. The company says the broader platform can help users find trending topics, write scripts with AI, record with its Auto Jump Cut Teleprompter App, add captions and B-roll from Getty/iStock and music, then publish directly to YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

The target customer is pretty specific: coaches, consultants, and service-based founders who need to post consistently to win clients. Jupitrr also frames the product as a shortcut, claiming it is built to be 10x faster than editing in CapCut. This is the sixth launch from Jupitrr AI, which suggests the company is still iterating on the same basic promise: make video posting less annoying and get people from idea to posted video faster.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

Open source is doing the useful, boring work here, which is exactly where it should be. Not every creator tool needs to be a subscription trap wrapped in AI glitter. If Jupitrr can keep the recording part clean and leave the rest optional, that’s a better model than forcing everyone through a full-content factory.
