conmeet raises €6M to power construction businesses with AI

Tech.eu Tamara Djurickovic

Construction software startup conmeet just landed €6 million in seed funding. The cash will help it replace the messy patchwork of tools builders currently juggle with one AI-powered system.

conmeet, a startup building software for trades and construction companies, has closed a €6 million seed round that came in oversubscribed. Reimann Investors Venture Capital and Smedvig Ventures co-led the raise, and it lands just six months after the company's pre-seed round led by May Ventures, which stuck around as an investor this time too.

The company was founded in 2023 by Benedikt Kisner, Leandro Ananias and Lennart Eckerlein, and its pitch is refreshingly specific: construction firms with 10 to 500 employees are drowning in disconnected software. Project management here, procurement there, scheduling somewhere else, invoicing in yet another tab. That fragmentation means people re-enter the same data multiple times and hand off work manually between systems that were never built to talk to each other.

conmeet's answer is a single platform covering the whole lifecycle of a job, from first customer contact through procurement, execution on site, and finally payment. Because everything sits on one shared data model, office staff, commercial teams and crews on the construction site all work off the same real-time information instead of chasing updates across separate tools.

What sets this apart from a typical software bolt-on is that AI isn't sitting on top of the platform, it's woven into the architecture itself. Kisner argues the industry doesn't need another standalone tool, it needs one system that runs the entire operation, and because conmeet was built AI-first from the start, automation and increasingly autonomous workflows can be embedded directly into daily operations rather than tacked on later.

Samuel Schuler of Reimann Investors framed the investment decision around conmeet's team, which he says blends domain knowledge from the trades, company building and software engineering, a mix he called decisive. The fresh capital is earmarked for expanding across the DACH region, pushing further on AI features, and growing the team.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

Construction is exactly the kind of unglamorous, fragmented industry where AI-native software should have real staying power, not because it's flashy but because the current alternative is duct-taped spreadsheets and manual handovers. The oversubscribed round six months after pre-seed suggests investors smell a genuine workflow problem rather than another chatbot wrapper, and that's the distinction worth watching as AI funding gets increasingly indiscriminate.
