Claude for Google Workspace

Product Hunt Justin Jincaid ● Covered by 2 sources

Claude now works inside Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. That kills the copy-paste shuffle and lets it edit the file you're already in.

Summary, retelling and take written by AI under human oversight; images are AI-generated illustrations. How we work · Report an error

Claude is moving straight into Google Workspace. The assistant can now sit inside Docs, Sheets, and Slides, so you can ask it to draft text, edit existing files, analyze spreadsheets, write formulas, build charts, or turn ideas into presentation slides without hopping between apps.

That matters because the old routine was clumsy. You wrote something in one place, copied it into another, asked the model for help, then pasted the result back again. Claude’s new setup trims that loop down and keeps the work inside the file.

The integration also goes the other way. Using the new connectors, people can create and edit Google Workspace files directly from Claude itself. So it is not just an in-document helper; it can also become a front door into the Google suite.

The feature is in beta and available on all paid Claude plans. Product Hunt lists it under writing, spreadsheets, and artificial intelligence, which is exactly the sort of job-to-be-done stack this kind of integration is chasing.

My take — AI-written commentary, not fact-checked reporting

This is the right kind of AI product move: less chatbot theater, more work done where the work already lives. The whole industry keeps pretending people want another tab; most people want fewer tabs and fewer excuses. Claude is finally acting like a utility instead of a demo.
