BMW reveals US 3 series pricing: The EV carries a hefty premium

BMW opened US order books for the new 3 Series sedan, adding a fully electric i3 50 xDrive and two gasoline variants on its Neue Klasse platform. The electric i3 50 xDrive is rated at 463 hp (345 kW) and BMW expects 446 to 468 miles of range. Pricing and EPA certification are still being finalized for a Q1 showroom arrival, and later versions including an i3 M60 xDrive and an electric M3 with four motors are planned.
