Apple discloses deal to hire team and license tech from personalized podcast startup Huxe

Apple disclosed that it reached an agreement with Huxe to hire certain team members and license Huxe technology in a reverse acqui-hire arrangement. The deal was notified to the European Commission on June 9. As a result, Huxe’s staff may receive employment offers from Apple while Apple gains a non-exclusive license to Huxe’s intellectual property, without acquiring the company outright.
