Keith Ellison is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the Attorney General of Minnesota since 2019. Before that, he represented Minnesota's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House from 2007 to 2019 and earlier served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007. He also served as Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2017 to 2018. He is a member of the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party.
