Perplexity released its “Portable Computer” local agent in the Windows version of its Perplexity app for PCs with compatible NVIDIA GeForce RTX or RTX PRO GPUs that have at least 24GB of VRAM. The update enables multistep tasks to run on-device, with cloud model use available as a fallback when local compute is insufficient or with user permission.
