OpenAI suspends accounts linked to North Korean threat actors using AI tools for employment fraud and cyber attacks

OpenAI banned multiple accounts associated with North Korean state-sponsored actors who were exploiting the platform for malicious purposes. The suspended accounts were used for deceptive hiring schemes targeting IT worker positions, as well as for researching intrusion techniques, phishing attacks, malware development, and cryptocurrency theft.
